New Electronics Recycling Program Announced!

This morning, the Municipality of Norristown announced an electronics recycling program for residents. This is great news and a program residents should utilize and help keep Norristown clean! There will also be a large electronics recycling event on November 15th from 8:00 am - 12:00 pm. For the complete details, read the official press release from Norristown Municipality below:



"Recycling electronics is now easier and more convenient for residents of Norristown. The Municipality has established a free drop off for electronics such as televisions and computers at its Public Works Building. The drop off will be open on Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 9am-noon, starting on October 28th. Televisions and computers should not be put out on the curb with the trash; it is state law that they must be recycled. Help keep Norristown clean and safe by bringing your electronics to the drop off!

Where: Norristown Public Works Building, behind Municipal Hall, 235 East Airy Street, Norristown, PA 19401. 

The specific drop-off point is marked with striped lines for parking in front of one of the large bay doors near the center of the building. Please park, press the buzzer to the right of the door and someone will be with you shortly to take your electronics for recycling.

When: Every Tuesday and Thursday from 9am-noon
Also a special drop off day will be held on Saturday, November 15th, 2014 from 8am-noon

• Monitors 
• Cell & Cordless Phones

• Microwave Ovens 
• Blenders / Mixers 
• Hair Dryers 
• Vacuums 
• Mixed Household Electronics
