TNP will continue its focus of "one block at a time" until the entire town is presentable. We also have a trashcan project that will start in May. We will begin looking for organizations and businesses to adopt a trash can and decorate and place around town. Volunteers who attend our project focus on detail and do a wonderful job at what they do. Last year's volunteer total reached 200 volunteers; with the success of MLK Day of Service in January, we are already halfway to that number! This Spring we will have many more projects available, with you attending at least one will be a huge help.
We are currently working on a park cleanup schedule for the first part of the season. Norristown has plenty of parks in town so we have a ton of work to do. Once this is completed, we will move into the community... one block at a time.
This is where I need your help! TNP loves to hear from the community and we would like to know where you would like to see a community cleanup. Now here's where the challenge comes in. I challenge anyone who wants to see a portion of the community cleanup to be available as that project organizer and give a helping hand the day of the cleanup. So if there's an area you would like to see, contact us, we will help organize the volunteers, we will gather supplies, and YOU will lead the day of the event! Pretty simple. This puts thoughts into action. We would love to see more members from the community stepping up to make a difference, and TNP is here to help you make an impact. By allowing more organizers for projects will help bring the community together and create a network of neighbors in town.
So I challenge you, where would you like to see TNP focus their attention this Spring/Summer? Would you be interested in helping out? Together, let's make a difference in Norristown! Add your comments below.
