The Norristown Project has some exciting news to share with you! 

Beginning immediately, we are sponsoring a community calendar to highlight events submitted to us that are happening in Norristown! Our calendar is very similar to the current community calendar out there but has our own personal touch. The events you find on our calendar will only be events happening within Norristown's borders. We feel the best way to feature things happening in Norristown is the only place those events on our calendar and nothing more. 

Since The Norristown Project has been around, we heard many residents wishing there was a way to know about events happening around town and never missing another event. We are executing on that idea by offering a calendar that will have all events in one calendar to make your job much easier!

To view the community calendar, simply click on the "Community Calendar" tab at the top of the blog. Also, our calendar can be viewed on our Facebook page and our website. To view more details of an event, just click the event and a full description will pop-up. Also, you can copy it to your personal calendar by clicking the "copy to calendar" link. Another feature our calendar has is the ability to subscribe via iCal or gmail. At the bottom of the main calendar, click "+Google" and it will prompt you to sign in to your gmail account to subscribe. Our events by default will not remind you, email you or pop-up in your calendar. So once you add your favorite event, you have to edit on your personal calendar to remind you. We set it up like this for those interested in subscribing to all events. We don't want your phone reminding you for events you're not interested in. We hate spam too!

Events will be added daily as they come in. I will search Facebook, the web and local media to try to catch these events as soon as possible to give residents plenty of time to make arrangements. I need your help as well! If you know of an event happening in Norristown, please email me the full details as soon as possible to NorristownProject@gmail.com or post a comment on the calendar page. Be sure to include all important information of the event and I will add within 24 hours guaranteed.
