REPOST | Support the 5th Annual Arts Hill Festival!

Posted By: Unknown - 3:00 AM

We are now approaching halfway through April which means it's time to start talking about the Arts Hill Festival in May. This is an important year for the Arts Hill...it's their 5th anniversary since being in the community! The Norristown Arts Hill Festival has something to offer for everyone. If you haven't been to their festival yet, here is a brief description of what you can expect.

Returning for their second year is Montco Idol sponsored by The Times Herald. For the past couple of months, residents across Montgomery County have submitted their best performances to become a finalist. Judges will choose the top 12 performances and the community will have a chance to vote for their favorite. The top 3 finalists will perform at the festival, with the winner being announced shortly after. The winner receives a cash prize and a recording session from Forge Recording. You do not want to miss out on this...we may see a future American Idol performing!

In addition to live performances and concerts, there will be tons of vendors and games for the entire family. This year, they are expecting to see over 3,000 visitors in the area which is great when talking about bringing more guests to Norristown. Let's say out of 3,000 in attendance, 15% of them return during the theater season and bring a guest to a performance. That is 450 from the arts festival and another 450 guests. With that number, there's no doubt each performance and show in the arts community will sell out.

The Norristown Arts Hill Council still needs vendors and performers for the festival. If you're interested in becoming a sponsor or donating a performance, contact them by emailing info@norristownartshill.org. If you're a business or organization, become a sponsor to help the Arts Hill continue to grow! Support the arts on May 3rd!
