Tonight at 7, the Montgomery County Commissioners will be at Municipal Hall to talk about the comprehensive plan and how its impact on Norristown. This meeting is a great way to stay connected on what is going on in town and how the future of the county will affect our community.
They couldn't have made it any easier for us to attend. There will be a live video stream of the meeting via Google+ Hangout. TNP has embedded the video stream on this blog so you can watch. You must register with the county before so they can add you to the chat. If you don't register in time, you can still watch the feed, but you won't be able to speak. The live stream will be in YouTube format, so you don't really have to have a gmail, if you just want to watch.
You can also attend in person if you want to brave the cold. I personally will watch through the live stream since I'm in Virginia. Arrive early so you can get a good seat and speak first.
The way this meeting is advertised is as a "town hall" format. The commissioner will be there to open up discussions about the 2040 Comprehensive Plan. Attendees will then be able to ask their own personal questions to be answered. I submitted a question concerning Centre Square and I look forward to hearing an answer.
I encourage all residents to be available for this meeting. It is important that you know what the future of Norristown will be. I would like to thank the commissioners in advance for creating a meeting like this. I hope more of these meetings can happen, maybe once every 3-4 months with a different theme each time.
Meeting begins at 7:00pm at Municipal Hall or via live stream! You can watch below!
